It seems like it was a royally great day for these dads.
On Sunday, both King Charles, 74, and his son, Prince William, 40, shared an array of family photos in honor of Father’s Day to their respective social media accounts.
The Royal Family’s official Twitter account posted three photos of three generations — one showing King Charles chuckling alongside his late father, Prince Phillip, and another picturing Queen Camilla smiling with her late father, Bruce Shand.
And, in a touching tribute, the account also included a photo of King Charles with his two sons, Prince Harry, 38, and Prince William when they were younger — amidst their ongoing family drama.
“To Dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father’s Day today,” the caption read.
Prince William seemed to take a different approach on his own official social media account, posting two sweet snaps of himself smiling with this three kids; Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
The Prince of Wales’ wife, Kate Middleton, 41, was not pictured in the photos taken by royal portrait photographer Millie Pilkington.
The kids all matched their dad, clad in blue outfits, as youngest Prince Louis was seen with his arms wrapped around his dad in a bear-hug in the second slide.
“Happy Father’s Day ❤️,” the caption read.
And, according to The Mirror, Prince William’s photos also included a subtle gesture to the late Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96 last September.
In the picture, which was taken at Frogmore House in Windsor, the family is sitting on a bench that was actually a gift to the late monarch for her 90th birthday in 2016, according to the outlet.
She had reigned for 70 years when she died.
In addition to a festive Father’s Day, it seems like this weekend was full of celebration, as the family and the public celebrated King Charles’ 75th birthday in a parade known as Trooping the Colour.
Even though the monarch won’t turn 75 until Nov. 14, the celebration is an age-old tradition hosted at the start of summer to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
The King rode on horseback during the parade, donning his military uniform as Prince William and his sister and brother Princess Anne and Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, rode behind him.
King Charles’ wife, Queen Camilla, and Middleton rode in a horse-drawn carriage, along with her three children.
Of course, the youngest tot Prince Louis stole the show once again during the parade, making a few funny faces at the crowd and saluting onlookers as the family gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch a flypast.
He had some memorable moments as he was caught yawning during his grandfather’s coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey last month, and, of course, his infamous antics during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration last June.
Both Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, 41, were nowhere to be found at this weekend’s birthday events.
Prince Harry did attend his father’s coronation ceremony, but was only in the United Kingdom for less than 24 hours, as he rushed home to make it back in time for his son, Archies’, fourth birthday.
