Because of her groundbreaking feminist activism, iconic personal style, and solo and Fleetwood Mac musical accomplishments, Stevie Nicks is a true rock and pop hero.

Nicks began her career as a duo with her then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham, releasing the album Buckingham Nicks to modest success. In 1975, Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac, contributing to the band’s rise to one of the best-selling musical acts of all time with over 120 million records sold globally.

The group’s second album with Nicks, titled Rumours, went on to become one of the best-selling records globally and received a 20-platinum certification in the US.

As a solo artist, Nicks has received eight Grammy nominations, which is a record for most nominations for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance without a victory, and as a member of Fleetwood Mac, she garnered six Grammy nominations, won the 1978 Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Rumours, and was honored with the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 2003.

Parents and Siblings

Jess and Barbara Nicks welcomed Stephanie “Stevie” Nicks into the world at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Chris Nicks is her younger brother.

Spouse and Children

The widower of Nicks’ best friend Robin Anderson, Kim Anderson was the only man she ever wed. When the Bella Donna album was at the top of the charts and they got married in 1983, it was not long after Robin Anderson passed away from leukemia. Their marriage lasted three months.

In light of her demanding job and desire to pursue her art, Stevie Nicks has stated that she made the conscious decision to forgo having children of her own.

Nicks and Eagles drummer/vocalist Don Henley had a brief love relationship in the late 1970s which resulted in a pregnancy in 1979. She however underwent an abortion.
