ALBANY – A Bronx-based doctor who admitted to performing oral sex on a patient against his will has been stripped of his medical license by the state, officials said yesterday.

Dr. Brian Shaw, 42, of Stamford, Conn., pleaded guilty last month to a count of sexual misconduct. Under a plea agreement, he will be sentenced next month to six years’ probation and be forced to register as a sex offender.

Shaw agreed to give up his license as of tomorrow under a consent agreement with the state Health Department.

He was accused of fondling the genitals of a 49-year-old patient who had gone to Throgs Neck Urgent Medical Care facility in December 2003, engaging in inappropriate sexual conversation, and then performing oral sex on the patient.

State health records show the family practitioner had been hit with similar accusations by another patient in January 2003, when he was working at the Ogden Avenue Clinic, which is affiliated with Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

No charges were brought in that case against Shaw, who has been licensed by the state since 1996.
